Family of Origin. What is that?

I love helping people grow into the persons they have dreamt of becoming. Having spent a fair amount of time as a client in therapy, I know how hard the work is. Creating an environment where people feel safe to journey through the struggles—big and small— is my passion in life. I am EMDR Certified through Compassion Works and am consistently amazed by the way EMDR can transform lives. Over the last five years, enneagram work has become a bigger and bigger part of my life. It is a tool that I have found to be very useful in helping us to understand and have more compassion for ourselves and others. My overall perspective on therapy is that life is hard and sometimes we need an unbiased ear to help process life events and issues.

While I am not at the office, I enjoy eating Mexican food, cooking, hanging out with my husband and our three dogs: Wilder, Margot, and Morty Pfefferman, Enneagram work, and of, course, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Being counselor is what I was made to do. Through my own life struggles, my understanding of the human spirit and its incredible resilience has moved from theory to application. Life is full bumps along the way, I would love the opportunity to assist you in figuring out your path.

CWK Counseling is an out-of-network provider, and currently does not accept insurance. If you’re unsure if you have out-of-network benefits, contact your insurance company and ask about whether or not they offer reimbursement for behavioral health, at what percentage, and whether you need to reach a deductible first.
Many of my clients are able to file and receive a reimbursement from anywhere between 30-80% of session cost. Please consult with your insurance company to determine coverage options. If requested, a superbill will be provided for reimbursement purposes.

I do not accept insurance in an effort to provide the best possible care and attention to you and your needs. Insurance companies often mandate duration and frequency, as well require updated information on your progress and treatment goals – information that I strive to keep confidential. Working outside of insurance requirements means that 100% of my time and attention is on client care and communication.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged $200 late cancellation fee.

In the case of illness, inclement weather, or other situation that prevents you from attending session inperson, sessions will be moved to Zoom. This allows you to continue your therapeutic work without having to leave home. This is also available for clients who prefer online counseling.
